November Field Trip 16 – Lacassine NWR
There should be lots of waterfowl in at the refuge pools.  The Vermillion Flycatcher hasn't been reported yet but lots of Crested Caracara are being seen.  Also possible, the White-tailed Hawks that were seen during LOS weekend.  Bring water, snacks, LUNCH, repellent, binoculars.  If you are coming from the Baton Rouge area, meet at the Coffee Call at 6:00 a.m. Please be sure to call Linda to confirm!  The Lafayette group will meet at Hobby Lobby at 7:00 a.m. and we will go Hwy 14 through Abbeville.  We will meet others at Illinois Plant Road (entrance to the refuge).  If you want to make other arrangement, please contact Matilde.  Please let her know if you plan to attend as plans may change depending on weather and/or attendance.  Matilde docmat99@cox.net or 856-6757 – cell 278-2936
