Nature Station ribbon cutting - rescheduled

Due to Mother Nature's unpredictable tendencies, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Nature Station's new trail system has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 5th at 4pm.

Prior to the ceremony, at 2pm we will be offering guided trail walks. As a friendly reminder, the only possible access for the event to the property of the new trails is on Shadow Bluff Rd.

Lafayette Nature Station North Trail System Ribbon Cutting

Please join Nature Station staff, Lafayette City-Parish President, Joey Durel, and a whole host of supporters for a ribbon cutting ceremony on the Nature Station's new trail system, Tuesday, 26 November at 10am.

Immediately following the ceremony, Nature Station staff will lead nature walks and birding walks, T.R.A.I.L. and boy scouts will lead a fast hike. Please join us on one of these hikes while the weather is nice and the kids are out of school.

We cannot access this new trail system from our existing trail system and environmental education facility but we hope to have a bridge built one day.

For now the only way to access this new trail system where the ribbon cutting will be is off of Shadow Bluff Drive.
Directions to the event if coming from:
I-10 – take 104 exit (LA Ave.) and go south. Once past the shopping center, turn left on Shadow Bluff Drive. Cross the small bridge and park on the right.

Nature Station – turn right on Alexander Street. Turn right on LA Ave. Turn right on Shadow Bluff Drive. Cross the small bridge and park on the right.
